Digilent Atlys and Xilinx University Program Support from Simulink

Low-cost platform for real-world audio and video applications based on the Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA

You can use Simulink®, HDL Coder™, HDL Verifier™, and Stateflow® with Digilent Atlys to teach hardware design and verification for signal processing and embedded systems. Digilent Atlys provides a low-cost, ready-to-use development platform based on the Spartan-6 FPGA board provided by Xilinx University Program (XUP). This kit includes onboard DDR2 memory, a gigabit Ethernet connection, and integrated audio and HDMI video ports.

You can explore concepts in signal processing, communications, and embedded systems as you develop real-world audio and video applications using this turnkey FPGA workflow:

  • Create algorithms to simulate and visualize system behavior using MATLAB®, Simulink, and Stateflow.
  • Generate HDL code using HDL Coder and program Digilent Atlys.
  • Execute HDL code in real time using Digilent Atlys.
  • Perform design optimization through resource sharing, retiming, and streaming using HDL Coder.
  • Complete FPGA-in-the-loop simulation on Digilent Atlys using HDL Verifier.
