Dynamic Pressure

R2026b

Compute dynamic pressure using velocity and air density

  • Dynamic Pressure block

Libraries:
Aerospace Blockset / Flight Parameters

Description

The Dynamic Pressure block computes dynamic pressure.

Dynamic pressure is defined as:

q¯=12ρV2,

where is air density and V is velocity.

Examples

Ports

Input

expand all

Velocity, specified as a three-element vector.

Data Types: double

Air density, specified as a scalar.

Data Types: double

Output

expand all

Dynamic pressure, returned as a scalar.

Data Types: double

Programmatic Use: Add Block

To add the block programmatically, use the add_block function with one of these library block paths as the source.

"aerolibasang/Dynamic Pressure"

Example: add_block("aerolibasang/Dynamic Pressure","myModel/myBlock",MakeNameUnique="on")
