Description

Add-On Required: This feature requires the Simscape Acoustics add-on.

The Volume Velocity Source block represents an ideal volume velocity source that maintains sinusoidal volume velocity through its output terminals, independent of the pressure across its terminals.

The output volume velocity is defined by the equation

$$U=U_0+U_1\sin (2\pi Ft+\varphi )$$

where:

• U is the volume velocity.

• U₀ is static flow.

• U₁ is peak dynamic flow.

• F is frequency.

• φ is phase shift.

• t is time.

Conserving

Acoustic conserving port associated with the positive terminal.

Static flow — Static flow

Static flow, specified in m³/s.

Peak dynamic flow — Peak dynamic flow

Peak dynamic flow, specified in m³/s.

Phase shift — Phase shift

0 rad (default) | scalar

Phase shift, specified in radians.

Frequency — Volume velocity frequency

60 Hz (default) | positive scalar

Volume velocity frequency, specified in Hz.
