Create a Real-Time Application

A Simulink^® model is a graphical representation of your physical system. You create a Simulink model for a non-real-time simulation of your system, and then you use the Simulink model to create a real-time application. This example uses sldrtex_model. To open this model, in the MATLAB^® Command Window, type:

open_system(docpath(fullfile(docroot,'toolbox',...
    'sldrt','examples','sldrtex_model')))

Note

You cannot run a Simulink Desktop Real-Time™ model in rapid accelerator mode.

To run sldrtex_model in Connected IO mode:

1. Configure a Model for Simulink Desktop Real-Time

2. Simulate Model in Connected IO Mode

To run sldrtex_model as a real-time application:

1. Set Run in Kernel Mode Code Generation Parameters

2. Prepare Run in Kernel Mode Application

3. Set Run in Kernel Mode (External Mode) Scope Parameters

4. Execute Real-Time Application in Run in Kernel Mode by Using Run in Real Time
