Why does MATLAB crash when I type into the search bar in the Help menu?

When I go to the Help menu and start to type into the search bar, MATLAB crashes. How can I avoid this?

As a workaround, try changing your theme to Windows Classic:
1. Right-click an empty space on your desktop and select Personalize.
2. Under the Basic and High Contrast Themes, select Windows Classic.
After changing the theme, run MATLAB and try searching again.
