Can anyone help on color recognition task?

Help to recognise and distinguish red and green. I would really appreciate if you could give me and hint or direct me to any relevant material to be able to do this task. thanks

There are several files in the File Exchange that work with a web cam to track things like balls and laser spots. Search for tracking or things like that.
