how use NFTOOL & OPTIMTOOL

Can we use the NNTOOL or NFTOOL and OPTIMTOOL ( to use de GA solver ) jointly in the aim of solving optimization broblem of neural network?

You can use code and functions generated from these tools with the other, sure. E.g. generate a neural net fitting function and then use this within the fitness function for ga.

That i'm trying to do but, i dont know how to generat the fitness function. For instance after trainning an ANN the matlab return the weignts and the number of neurones in each layer.to process step by step i want to start with number of neurones
