Why do I receive an error stating that my UIAxes component cannot be added?

I have been designing an app using the Appdesigner in MATLAB online that requires an axis component. But, when I closed the appdesigner window after initially creating the required components and open again, I get the following error pop-up:

"Unable to create component

matlab.ui.control.UIAxes. Component creation failed with error:

Unrecognized method, property or field 'ServerID' for class 'matlab.graphics.primitive.canvas.Javacanvas'."

Still, I get all the other components perfectly, except the axis component. I even created the app multiple times, and get the same problem over and over again.

@Mathworks, can anyone provide some insight on what can I do to rectify it or if this is a bug, take necessary action at the earliest.

Hi @Mauricio Bassallo, I got some code in case I had used the installed version, which I am not. Anyways, if you use the installed version, here is what they shared:

As a starting point, please follow the steps mentioned below:

Try restoring the default path by typing the following in the MATLAB Command Window:

>>restoredefaultpath

>>rehash toolboxcache

This might take a couple of minutes

Once you have done this, try using App Designer again. If it works, type the following in your MATLAB Command Window:

>> savepath

Hi @Prashanth Soundararajan, I can run my app in an installed version. I did that in my laptop.

But the thing is that I am working with this model in other PC in which I just can use Matlab Online. That is the issue.

I hope I could get a solution soon. I will share it here as well.

Hi @Mauricio Bassallo, today I got a reply from Mathworks support saying that they had found a bug in the uifigure on MATLAB online and they are working on it to fix it in a future release. The person suggested me to work on an installed version. So, I hope this gets resolved soon on MATLAB online.

This just happened to me on an installed version, and it corrected itself after I quit MATLAB and restarted it.
