How to show an image or a plot in a different window from my gui?

In my gui, I got axes1 with an image that i select from a pop up menu.next I have 2 buttons, that by pressing on them I want that each of them will show an image or a plot in a different window. how can I achieve it?

call a different figure before presenting the image:

figure, image(your_image)

or

figure, plot(your_data)

I have a black image with white roads but it is showing blue image with yellow roads.
