I have recently installed Matlab 2014b and the x-ticks seems to overlap with the axis. Can you tell me how to fix it?

If I execute the following code in 2014b

    axes
    set(gca,'FontSize',14)

The same code in 2014a has much better spacing between the axis and the ticks

Can you help me fix it? I would appreciate a simpler solution than having to convert the ticks to text.

I do not see the same behavior on my machine. I tried with different font sizes: from 2 to 20.

I am using MATLAB R2014b on Windows 7 SP1. What OS are you using?

I see that most people don't have that issue. I am using Windows 7 Professional SP1.
