Stateflow DEMO license problem

For a period of time I ran a DEMO license of the Stateflow tool kit. I came to the conclusion that I did not use it extensively enough to decide to purchase the tool kit. So prior to the DEMO license running out, I replaced all of the Stateflow blocks with simple matlab functions that accomplished the same task of simple state transitions. The idea was to remove the need for the Stateflow tool kit. When the DEMO license finally expired, I started getting errors that stated a Stateflow license could not be checked out. I know for sure the models do not use any of the Stateflow blocks, but there seems to be some "Stateflow residue" in in the model requiring the license. Has anyone else experienced this problem? The only work around I have right now is to completely start over with a new model which completely unexceptionable.

From your description, I assume you have the Stateflow product still installed. You can verify with the "ver" command. Then I suggest to uninstall it.
In case you have an unintended artifact in the model itself, you may be able to open the model file in a word processor or the MATLAB editor and find a hint.

I get same error even though I have the full license for it. With 'ver' command, I can see stateflow. When I open the model, I get error saying too many users and demo license issue. What can I do? It's a server license in my company.
Hi Priyal I am facing the same issue, were you able to find a solution ?
I am also facing same issue?

I do not recall uninstalling Stateflow, but it does not show up when run ver from the command line. Also when I open my model in a word processor, I do not see anything that I can read.

A yes, that is the new format, I still thought of the MDL format for Simulink files. I suggest you contact technical support with this (provding your model) just in case this is a bug.
