Can daessc solve index 2 (or higher) DAEs?

i'm wondering if the new Simscape solver daessc can solve (differential) index 2 or higher DAEs - the solvers used before ode23t or ode15s were only able to solve DAEs of index 1.

Has someone experience with it?

I understand that you want clarification if the DAESSC solver can solve index 2 or higher DAEs.

No, DAESSC has not been designed for higher index DAEs. It may work on them, but it will likely get stuck at some point on min step error or will encounter a singular matrix somewhere. That said, Simscape will reduce the index to 1 before calling DAESSC solver.
