Can I install additional toolboxes to MATLAB by copying an existing $MATLAB\toolbox folder? For example, if my friend has 5G Toolbox installed in C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2022b\toolbox, can I just copy that folder and paste it onto my computer?

Copy toolbox folders from MATLAB's installation is an unsupported installation workflow for toolboxes since the MATLAB nor its toolboxes are designed to be installed this way. Supported workflows for installing toolboxes into an already existing installation of MATLAB can be found below.
