Why do I get 'Warning on startup: X does not support locale en_US.UTF-8' when starting MATLAB with R2022b or R2023a on Linux?

This is a warning message that can be disregarded and it has no impact on the functionality of MATLAB. This warning will not display if you are using R2023a Update 3 or R2022b Update 6.
