Radio buttons not showing up in 'GUIDE'?

I have a button group with two radio buttons. They work fine when I run the code. However when I try to open the figure with guide, the radio buttons are simply not there but the button group is visible. I tried everything but no luck. The radio buttons are simply not showing up when I start guide and open the figure. Please help.

Pappu - was this GUI designed for this version of MATLAB or a previous version? See http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/163680-matlab-2014b-missing-guide-elements which may provide some hints on what to do next.
