i want to write a matlab function for the prime numbers without using the built in functions like isprime, so that i can enter a range of numbers and get the result that which of these are prime numbers, please help

I assume that the reason you do not want to use the built-in function is that this is schoolwork.

Getting help with schoolwork here is fine, but please show some effort. What have you tried so far? Post your own code, and specific questions, and maybe someone will give you some hints.
