Error using Matlab table command

Using the first example posted at https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/table.html I try to create a Matlab table as follows:
LastName = {'Smith';'Johnson';'Williams';'Jones';'Brown'};
Age = [38;43;38;40;49];
Height = [71;69;64;67;64];
Weight = [176;163;131;133;119];
BloodPressure = [124 93; 109 77; 125 83; 117 75; 122 80];
T = table(Age,Height,Weight,BloodPressure,...
'RowNames',LastName)
But, instead of the table shown in the example, I get these error messages.
Error using matlab.lang.makeValidName>parseInputs (line 186)
Invalid default value for property 'metaDim' in class 'table':
Reference to non-existent field 'TextType'.
Error in matlab.lang.makeValidName (line 72)
[names, replacementStyle, prefix, TextType] = parseInputs(names, varargin{:});
Error in matlab.internal.tableUtils.makeValidName (line 23)
[validNames, modified] = matlab.lang.makeValidName(names, varargin{:});
Error in matlab.internal.table.tableMetaDim>fixLabelsForCompatibility (line 208)
[labels,wasMadeValid] = matlab.internal.tableUtils.makeValidName(labels,'silent');
Error in matlab.internal.table.tableMetaDim (line 40)
labels = fixLabelsForCompatibility(labels);

It looks like you're running R2016b. It also looks like you have something wrong with your installation, or something on your path that's shadowing something important. Perhaps something else called "table".
I'd set a breakpoint in matlab.internal.table.tableMetaDim at line 40, and see if you can figure out what's going on. Beyond that, you should probably contact support.

I think there seems to be some implementation issues with R2016b. I am getting the same error as stated by AM.
