when we try to commutate thyristor (simulink block), why current becomes zero instantaneously not after turn off time?

I tried to commutate thyristor by applying negative voltage across it for duration of Turn off time. but it is becoming zero suddenly without any slope. It becomes zero once Toff over. why?
