can I decrease the base wind speed of wind turbine model

I am using wind turbine model block provided by Simulink and I have real data for wind speed. I noticed that the base wind speed parameter in the block is set to 12 m/s by default. when I decrease it I get more power from the model. the question is: is it OK if I decrease the base wind speed parameter to the value that that is suitable for my data. please help me!!
