i have signal array X(1:500) , in this array i have positive,negative and float value. i need to find the 1st major difference or 1st highest peak of the signal how can i find the such peak ?

i have attached excel file. all the value in that excl file

Hi, the following code will give you the first highest peak and the value of it.

[max_X,index]=max(X)

from this code, we cannot find the first highest peak form this code we can only find max value of X i have attached one image file and you can see the signal how signal looks like i need to find the 1st peak and their index

[x,y]=findpeaks(y) To find maximum peak

[x,y]=findpeaks(-y) To find minimum peak

If this is not comfortable click the data cursor option in the figure and then you can determine the peaks by it.
