Is IDC in Datafeed Toolbox meant for eSignals?

The IDC in the Datafeed toolbox, is that for eSignals. I want to stream real time prices to Matlab, without paying Bloomberg and Reuters prices, however not sure if eSignals is Interactive Data (ID) so the IDC connect is then for eSignals? If eSignals only provide me with historic data then its not good enough for algo trading. Please someone enlighten me?

TT can provide realtime data for a fair Price. I am not able to connect any historic data stream.
