Hi, how can I plot elliptical pressure distribution. The equation is given below.
pn = Pmax*sqrt(1-(x/a)^2-(y/b)^2)
where, Pmax = (3*N)/(2*pi*a*b) is the maximum pressure. N is the load, a and b are the semi-major and semi-minor axes. Thanks.

You mean surface or pcolor?
[x,y] = meshgrid(-5:0.5:5);
Pmax = (3*N)/(2*pi*a*b);
pn = Pmax*sqrt(1-(x/a)^2-(y/b)^2);
surf(x,y,pn)
% or
pcolor(x,y,pn)
