Is the function "minimize " included in MatLAB ?

I downloaded Prof. Hinton’s Deep Brief Network tool from the site (http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~hinton/MatlabForSciencePaper.html).

I also downloaded MNIST digit data files from http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/mnist.

Then I tried digits classification program “mnistclassify.m” of the Prof.Hinton, using my MATLAB&SIMLINK R2013a.

When I run the program, no error message was appeared and after the default setting of maximum epoch processing, error message (in Japanese) appeared as follows : “Undefined function <minimize> for input arguments of type double”.

I am woundering my MATLAB support the function “minimize”or not.Is there anyone who could help/advise me ? Thank you in advance

Hi, Walter.　Thank you for quick reply. I found “minimize.m” should be the same folder with mnistclassify.m”.
