character recognition

currently I am working on a code for license plate recognition, I have finished coding for license plate extraction and character segmentation, I need help for character recognition.

Look at a demo, the corresponding source code should give you a good idea on using template matching in a practical application.

Hi Ashish, I am also doing some related work. Can you help me in one thing. I cannot extract the actual characters from the image itself as my code also is extracting the logos and other prominent matters beside the actual characters. So I need to exclude these. What you have done in your work extracting the letters GOD666 is awesome. Can you please help me regarding this. I need your help badly.
