Water pressure and flow measurement with NI 6001

This example shows how an inexpensive device from NI can be used to display data from analog sensors in real time.

This application was created with Matlab Appdesigner. It was part of an overworked test rig to test cooling concepts with water.
Two analog pressure sensors and two flow sensors (V10980) from RS Components were used. Here you find the Instruction manual of the flow meter: V10980 (rs-online.com)
When evaluating the signals, it should be noted that the flow rate is determined from the speed of the flow sensors. The flow values can only be calculated after one rotation of the paddle wheel. This is done by evaluating the rising edges of the rectangular signal. The flow values are therefore available after a period of the signal in contrast to the pressure values available after each sampling time of the HW. The flow values that are temporally between the beginning and the end of the period must be generated artificially so that the data rate of all sensors matches. This is handled in the function 'calcFlowRate()'.
Otherwise, the x and y axes of the graphs can be adjusted and the measured values are also displayed numerically. The application can be started and stopped via the user interface. Saving the data does not yet work in this version.
