A closed-loop control of a boost converter with a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) is a two-stage power conversion system where:
  1. The boost converter steps up a low DC input voltage (e.g., 24 V) to a higher DC voltage (e.g., 80 V).
  2. The Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) then converts this high DC voltage into a controlled AC output, usually single-phase or three-phase.
This architecture is common in:
  • Renewable energy systems (solar PV, fuel cells)
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
  • Motor drives
  • Electric vehicles
