PDF and CDF of Random variables
"Random variable is an assignment of real numbers to the outcomes of a random experiment. Random variables are denoted by capital letters, i.e., , and so on, or by letters of the Greek alphabet, i.e. and so on. A random variable is discrete if the range of its values is either finite or countably infinite. This range is usually denoted by . The continuous random variable is one in which the range of values is a continuum.
