Houman Zarrinkoub, MathWorks
MathWorks engineers will showcase new capabilities in MATLAB for physical layer modeling of LTE standards. You will learn how the LTE Toolbox provides standard-compliant functions and tools for the design, simulation, and verification of LTE and LTE-Advanced communications systems.
Through demonstrations we will show how the LTE Toolbox can help you measure and analyze the end-to-end performance of LTE and LTE-A communications links, can provide conformance test benches and waveforms to verify your LTE physical layer designs and can be used as a golden reference model ensuring that your implementations comply with the LTE standard.
About the Presenter: Dr. Houman Zarrinkoub is a senior product manager at MathWorks, responsible for Communications and LTE Toolboxes. Prior to MathWorks, he was a research scientist in the Wireless Group at Nortel Networks, where he contributed to multiple standardization projects for 3G mobile and voice coding technologies. Houman is the author of the book Understanding LTE with MATLAB: From Mathematical Modeling to Simulation and Prototyping (Wiley, 2014). He holds a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from McGill University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunications from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, in Canada.
