Run License Manager on Microsoft Azure Using Reference Architecture

Automate the process of starting a network license manager for MATLAB®, running on a Linux® or Windows® virtual machine, using your Microsoft® Azure® account.

You can connect MATLAB running on the cloud to a network license manager that is also running on the cloud using Microsoft Azure.

Using a network license manager, you can manage the licenses available for checkout so that end users in your organization can use MathWorks® products. To learn about Network License Manager, see Administer Network Licenses.

Requirements

To use this reference architecture, you need:

  • A Microsoft Azure account. You are responsible for the costs of all Microsoft Azure services.

  • A valid MathWorks network license.

  • To be an administrator of the network license that you want to use.

Note

Set the license configuration of your MATLAB Parallel Server™ license to Network License Manager to use this reference architecture. For details, refer to Change License Manager Type (MATLAB Parallel Server).

Deployment

To launch the network license manager for MATLAB in Azure, use the reference architecture templates provided in these GitHub® repositories:

You can run the template directly from the link in the GitHub repository. Choose your MATLAB release, and then click the Deploy to Azure icon.
