showResourceMapping

Show subcarrier mapping of OFDM symbols created by OFDM modulator or demodulator System object

Description

showResourceMapping(obj) shows a visualization of the subcarrier mapping for the OFDM symbols used by the OFDM modulator or demodulator System object™.

example

showResourceMapping(obj,freqIndex) shows the resource mapping with custom y-axis labeling specified by freqIndex.

showResourceMapping(obj,freqIndex,antennaIndex) displays subcarrier mapping plots for selected transmit antennas indicated by antennaIndex. This syntax applies only when each transmit antenna has its own mapping plot, specifically, when the PilotCarrierIndices property of obj is a 3D array.

Examples

collapse all

The showResourceMapping object function displays the time-frequency resource mapping for each transmit antenna.

Create an OFDM modulator.

ofdmMod = comm.OFDMModulator;

Apply the showResourceMapping object function.

showResourceMapping(ofdmMod)

Figure OFDM Subcarrier Mapping for All Tx Antennas contains an axes object. The axes object with title OFDM Subcarrier Mapping for All Tx Antennas, xlabel OFDM Symbols, ylabel Subcarrier Indices contains an object of type image.

Insert a DC null.

ofdmMod.InsertDCNull = true;

Show the resource mapping after adding the DC null.

showResourceMapping(ofdmMod)

Input Arguments

collapse all

System object to plot resource mapping for, specified as a comm.OFDMModulator or comm.OFDMDemodulator System object.

Data Types: object

Custom y-axis frequency subcarrier index, specified as a two-element row vector of integers so that freqIndex(2) – freqIndex(1) = FFTLength – 1. Numbering of the y-axis spans the range [freqIndex(1), freqIndex(2)].

List of indices indicating which antennas to plot resource mapping for, specified as a positive, integer scalar or row vector of unique integer values in the range [1, NAnt], where NAnt is the number of antennas specified by the input obj. The number of elements in antennaIndex cannot exceed 16.

  • When the input is a comm.OFDMModulator object, this property indicates indices for the desired transmit antennas.

  • When the input is a comm.OFDMDemodulator object, this property indicates indices for the desired receive antennas.
