Controlled Flux Source block

To add a block to a model, double-click the canvas and start typing the block name. Then, select the block from the list.

Description

The Controlled Flux Source block represents an ideal flux source that is powerful enough to maintain the specified flux through it, regardless of the magnetomotive force (mmf) across the source.

The output flux is PHI = PHIs, where PHIs is the numerical value at the physical signal port phiS.

The arrow on the block icon indicates the positive direction of the flux flow.

Ports

Input

phiS — Output flux value, Wb

physical signal

Physical signal input port that provides the value for the flux to be output by the source.

The port name is not visible in the block icon, but you can see this name in the underlying source file by clicking the Source code link in the Description tab of the block dialog box.

Conserving

N — North terminal

magnetic

Magnetic conserving port associated with the north terminal.

The port name is not visible in the block icon, but you can see this name in the underlying source file by clicking the Source code link in the Description tab of the block dialog box.

S — South terminal

magnetic

Magnetic conserving port associated with the south terminal.

The port name is not visible in the block icon, but you can see this name in the underlying source file by clicking the Source code link in the Description tab of the block dialog box.
