Security Considerations for Raspberry Pi in Simulink Online

You can enable communication between the Raspberry Pi™ hardware board and Simulink® Online™ over the Internet using your MathWorks® Account credentials. The following Linux® based functions and capabilities of the Simulink Support Package for Raspberry Pi Hardware are intentionally limited in Simulink Online.

Security best practices related to the Raspberry Pi include:

  • Change the default user name and password on your Raspberry Pi. For more information on how to change these details, see Linux users.

  • Connect only to trusted networks.

  • If you require a wireless connection, connect your Raspberry Pi only to wireless networks with strong encryption.

  • Turn off port forwarding on your router. Consult the manufacturer documentation for instructions.
