Build ArduPilot Firmware

This section helps you complete the Build ArduPilot Firmware step of the Hardware Setup process (using the Hardware Setup screens).

Building the ArduPilot firmware is a crucial step in preparing your selected hardware board for use with the UAV Toolbox Support Package for ArduPilot® Autopilots. By following these steps, you will ensure that your hardware is running the correct firmware, enabling reliable communication and operation with the support package.

Click Build Firmware to start building the firmware. This process might take several minutes to complete.

Once the process is complete, a Firmware Build successful message is displayed.

After the firmware build completes successfully, your firmware is ready. You can now proceed to use Simulink with your ArduPilot hardware or SITL target.

Optionally, you can run a connection test to verify communication in the next screen. This step is required only for hardware selection and not SITL host target workflow.
