Matlab Codes - Digital Holography

Hi,

I'm working on a project which is about Digital In-line Holographic Microscopy. I have to write a Matlab code for my project which detects and measures the microparticles in the holographic image.

Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with Matlab that's why it is quite difficult for me. Can anyone help me with Matlab to write the code for the detection and measurement of the microparticles?

Thank you for your recommendation Image Analyst. The links are really helpful for me to understand the image segmentation and detection. The code which is at the second link is also good but unfortunately that program is not exactly doing what I want. It doesn't count microparticles in my holographic image. :/

But did you expect that I already had a microparticle in hologram application ready to turn over to you? I thought you could use the program as a basis to get started. It's very general and uses a very simple image, but that is on purpose, so that people can learn the concepts. If I had a complicated image, with a complicated algorithm, then it wouldn't be much good as an introductory tutorial, would it? Hopefully you'll be able to keep working on your program until it works, so if I've given you a helpful start then go ahead and mark as accepted but if you have more questions feel free to ask. (Posting your image might help.)
