accessible property for an instance

i want to give a name to the x-axes ,i wrote this command in the openingfcn

set(get(axes1,'XLable'), 'String','time');

but is does not work ,when i run it i become on the command window

The name 'XLable' is not an accessible property for an instance of class 'axes'.

where is the Problem ?

Why not

xlabel('time')

And in your code there is a mistake, it's xlabel not xlable

set(get(gca,'xlabel'),'string','time')

when i have more than one axes in the figure , howe can i refer the xlabel for each axes ?

Like you did it without the mistake xlable. If axe1 is your axe

set(get(axe1,'xlabel'),'string','time')
