"unable to launch application"

After selecting the option to download my student version on Mac, and having tried opening the download on both chrome and firefox, a box still pops up saying " unable to launch application." What do i do?

Had the same problem earlier today on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Follow the instructions on this page

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml

and enter "http://www.mathworks.com" on the exception site list.

Then run the download agent.
