You need to specify which cctv camera.
Historically, cctv cameras have often been monochrome camera that use composite video output signal on a coax cable. They are not "webcam". You need to have a framegrabber or equivalent.
To get into specifics about which model of data acquisition device you should use, we need more specific information about the signal being generated by the CCTV camera. For example, is it RS-170 or RS-343 ?

you can help me which cctv camra is suitable for interface with matlab....
What conditions do you need? Does the camera have to operate outdoors? If so, under what climate? Do you need variable focus or is fixed focus okay? Does it need to be color or grayscale? Does there need to be a long distance between the camera and the image capture device? What resolution do you need? How many frames per second do you need? What is your budget for the camera? If an image capture card or device is required, then what is your budget for that?

sir actually i m std of engineering and i want to make a project to detect weapon using ANN .... can u guide me i m very thank full to u....
Indoors or outdoors? Constant lighting or not? Does the camera need to be able to slew and pan to focus in on individuals passing through an airport, or is this for something like an airport luggage screening system?
Are you aware, by the way, that water is a weapon?
