how can i consider a good output response after concersion of discrete transfer function to continuours transfer function.

Hi all...
can i have the idea how can i ascribe a converted continuous function provide a good output response....
in what aspect i need to consider and evaluate..
many thanks!

Many thanks Paulo!
From my understanding after did some google, evaluation of the stability and transient response is based on the discrete transfer function (usually with variable z). And Nyquist theorem is applied to evaluate the stability.
But may i know how can i evaluated the stability/output rsponse of the continuous function that i have converted from a given discrete transfer function?
As i know (from the matlab guide), there are 3 different methods (zoh, tunstin, and matched) can be applied to convert the transfer function from discrete to continuous. Hence may i know how far these methode alther the output response? And in what criteria i have to take in account in order to pick the best method.
many thanks for your attention again.
How nice, you didn't even look at my links (the first one has good clues so you can test the different methods), also I remember you asking questions before but none appears so you just deleted them after someone (maybe myself) wasted time answering them (no respect to those who help or those who might have the same questions), good luck doing some google instead of reading the textbooks.
PS: I would answer your question because I have it from several textbook sources but I would be wasting my time and this is a place for MATLAB questions not for Control Engineering, you should buy the textbooks because that's the way any Engineer learns.
Hi Paulo,
I am sorry with my behaviour but i gotta tell that i did refer to your link, especially for the Stability and transient response. But from the reference, it shows the way do analysis manual... I wish to ask for advise.. how can i do the analysis with Matlab. What kind of tool and function that i can use to analyse the it..
Sorry and wish to ask a control question:
If my output from controller-plant give me a overdampled response, is there anyway for me to make it to a critically damped response?
what is the changes i can make? I googled and found that most of them say critically damped is desired most in most of the system as it reaches steady state in shortest time.
Many thanks!
sorry... i meant analyse after conversion to continuous transfer function.
the example given is analysing in z domain...
i wish to compare the response after conversion to continous so that i can deterime which approach is the best to convert from D 2 C.
