Why my gui code is throwing error? Iam trying to import file. Its not reading my file

ERROR IS AS FOLLOWS
Unable to read the file. Though iam keeping the file in the same path as my matlab directory path

You are carefully extracting the folder name that is appropriate for the file to be in, but then when you go to importdata() you only pass in filename which does not include the folder. You should be using fullfile() to construct the complete path to the file.
