model a frequency selective mimo channel (EVA) for Equalization?

I am trying to Equalize a 2x2 MIMO EVA channel model for SCFDMA with 9 paths using Minimum Mean Square Error, and i need to convert my MIMO channel into a 2x2 channel for Equalization on each subcarrier.

How do i convert a 9 taps channel into a single tap channel so that i can perform my Equalization?

what do you mean by converting 9-tap channel to 1-tap? Do you mean the tap corresponding to one sub-carrier?
