Can matlab load data online

I am just wondering if matlab can connect the internet, for instance, load some online data?

Yes. See urlread() and urlwrite() if it is web pages you wish to work with. imread() can process <ftp://> and http:// pathnames.
If you need something more sophisticated such as an unusual TCP protocol, then the officially supported mechanism is to use the Instrument Control Toolbox, which supports UDP and TCP. There is also a MATLAB File Exchange Contribution named tcpudpip that supports UDP and TCP.
