Significant Figures in Simulink

I'm trying to convert a legacy simulation into Simulink; however, the old software works with 6 significant figures while Simulink uses more (10?). This causes slight deviations that integrate over time. Is there a way to specify the number of significant figures in Simulink to match the 6 sigfigs of the original software?

I'm not very familiar with this area, but it seems to me like you might need to replace your data types with fixed-point types?
