How do you embed a Matlab figure (.fig) into a powerpoint?

Hi,
Does anyone know of a method to embed a .fig file into a powerpoint presentation directly from Matlab?
I have taken a look at saveppt & saveppt2, and these were both helpful to get the image onto the slide, however I am trying to embed a link so that I can open the .fig file in Matlab directly from the presentation. (I know that I can do this manually, howver I have to do it for ~200 figures, and was hoping to save some time).
Thank you, Saagar

Save them as something else (.jpg .svg) and then insert them into Excel. It might save you a world of hurt.
I need to be able to open up each figure in Matlab directly from its respective ppt slide, so using Excel would not solve my problem :(
I have however saved all the figures I need as .fig files using the saveas command and am currently inserting them manually into each slide.
