Excel ActiveX writing without range

I've looked around on a few of the posts here, and it looks like with a workbook (I need 3 sheets), everyone writes to a designated Range. Is this mandatory (using get/set with a range)? I looked at the documentation on the microsoft page, but it's so long I'm not sure where to even start to find my answer. I did see a Range property called 'FillRight' which looks useful, but I'm not of the correct implementation in Matlab. Any suggestions for this? I'd like to be able to write to the sheet and for it to fill in automatically. Does it not do this?

You need to explain better what you want to do, for example what data you want to write to the excel file and where.

I'm not sure what you mean by writing without range as you obviously have to give a destination for the data.

Note that FillRight is a method of a Range object, so you obviously need a range to use it.

I agree with Guillaume - I don't know what you really want to do until you explain it better. In the meantime, I've attached an ActiveX demo. Maybe you can get what you need from that.
