How to connect elements form different simscape sub-libraries?

1 visualizzazione (ultimi 30 giorni)
Specifically, my group is working on thermal modelling of EVs i.e cabin cooling and battery cooling. We have used most elements from two-phase-fluid sub-library of simscape. But at two connections we want a controlled seperation of the refrigerant flow. For that there is a element called flow divider but it's in the hydraulics sub-library. So how do I use these libraries simultaneously? I'm trying from yesterday but nothings seem to work. Thank you.

I believe you may use two orifices to achieve what you have described. Just control the input area to each to adjust the amount of refrigerant flow. Using multiple orifices and lookup tables, you can build (from scratch) lots of different kind of valves. Many examples in Simscape foundation library uses this approach to model valves. For example: https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/simscape/ug/hydraulic-actuator-with-analog-position-controller-il.html It's in isothermal liquid domain but the idea is the same.
If you have access to later versions of Simscape, this EV thermal management example may be helpful for your application:
