convert point cloud to surface

Hi,

I have points cloud (x,y,z) extracted from Dicom image (see the first attachment). I want to convert it to a smooth surface

I used the following commands:

DT_A= DelaunayTri(x,y,z); 
[tri XA]= freeBoundary(DT_A); 

figure;

trisurf(tri,XA(:,1),XA(:,2),XA(:,3), 'FaceColor', 'cyan', 'faceAlpha', 0.8);

Because it has an irregular shape, I have lost a lot of details.
