rgb components

can anyone plz tell me which function is used on a image to find its rgb components?

It depends on how the image is currently stored. Assuming it is stored as an RGB image, you can extract the components by indexing the planes of the image array like this:

redpart = image(:,:,1);
greenpart = image(:,:,2);
bluepart = image(:,:,3);

If the immage is not an RGB image, you can use a function such as ind2rgb to convert it to that form first.
