What MATLAB version did handle methods start being hidden?

I love this change. I can finally get rid of my handleLight class.

handle methods in general? I have not heard that they are hidden.

Is it possible you are referring to App Designer objects? I think the object visibility is set to Callback by default... not the same thing as the methods.

I am referring to user defined handle classes classes. You used to have to tab through 14 irrelevant methods during tab completion

Hidden means hidden, from display and autocompletion. There's no workaround.

However, what you could do is customise the display of your class, so that it only displays whatever you want even if the property is not hidden. For that you'd have to derive your class from matlab.mixin.CustomDisplay and override getPropertyGroups to omit the property you want to hide.
