can i do this with matlab?

i work on a project and i'm beginner in matlab but i want to know if i have a picture for a big flat and then i capture another picture for a part in this flat can i identify its location using matlab?

I'd say you can. But what is the goal of your question? Somebody assigned you to do this, or are you investigating MATLAB capabilities?

It depends. When I have a big picture from a flat in topview, and a picture of one wall, a correlation is not possible. So please explain more details and how we can help.
