2014b alpha (transparency) doesn't work. Does anyone know a fix for this? thanks

alpha(0.5) %does nothing to my bar plot

Hi Mech, it works with:

bar([1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6], 'hist');

alpha(0.5);

In 2015a alpha does not work with area. Sad

area(wavenumber,lfComponent,'EdgeColor','none','FaceColor', 'r'); %8-MR alpha(0.3)
